THE KEYSTONE EFFECT — PROJECT 1,000
TERMS & CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY POLICY
1. Project Operator & Educational Partner
Project 1,000 is an initiative operated by The Keystone Effect. The educational platform provided to successful applicants is My5 Minute Maths Tutor. The Keystone Effect owns and operates the application process and impact relationship, while My5 provides the underlying educational platform.
2. Eligibility Requirements
The applicant completing this form must be the child’s parent or legal guardian.
The participating child must currently be enrolled in School Years 1 through 6.
Project 1,000 is currently available only to eligible Australian families.
All information provided in the application must be accurate and truthful.
3. Limited Availability & Selection Process
Project 1,000 provides up to 1,000 funded places. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program. The Keystone Effect retains full discretion to select applicants based on eligibility, suitability, family commitment, available places, and program objectives.
4. Meaning of 'Fully Funded' & $1 Activation Fee
Successful applicants receive access to the My5 program without standard program or membership fees for the duration of the funded period.
Successful applicants are required to make a one-time $1 activation payment upon account setup to trigger automated password and account creation.
This $1 charge is a non-recurring, one-time payment. There are no ongoing membership fees associated with a Project 1,000 funded place.
5. Parent/Guardian Commitment
Parents/guardians agree to make reasonable efforts to support their child in completing the recommended two 30-minute My5 learning sessions each week.
6. Participation, Inactivity & Reallocation
A funded place represents an active opportunity to participate. The Keystone Effect reserves the right to withdraw and reallocate a place following extended inactivity, non-participation, misuse, fraudulent application details, or material breach of these Terms. Reasonable notice will be provided prior to withdrawal for inactivity.
7. Progress & Impact Surveys
Families may be invited to complete occasional short surveys regarding their child's progress and experience with the program.
8. Privacy & Data Collection (Application Stage)
The application deliberately minimizes the collection of personal information.
No child’s direct contact information (such as child email, phone number, full name, address, or date of birth) is collected during the application process.
Parent/guardian contact details are collected primarily to administer Project 1,000, communicate application outcomes and, for successful applicants, facilitate participation in the program. Where a parent or guardian separately provides marketing consent, their contact details may also be used to provide occasional news, educational resources, special offers and information about The Keystone Effect and My5 Minute Maths Tutor.
9. Privacy & Data Collection (My5 Account Stage)
For accepted applicants, account setup within My5 requires only limited child details: the child's first name and school year.
All program communications and administration are conducted exclusively through the parent/guardian email address.
Data handling complies with data minimization principles under Australian Privacy Principle (APP) 3.
10. Guarantees & Operational Terms
The Keystone Effect makes no express guarantees regarding specific grades, academic improvements, or specific confidence outcomes.
Access is granted solely to the approved family and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged.
These Terms are governed by applicable Australian consumer and privacy laws.
11. Project Communications
By applying for Project 1,000, applicants acknowledge that The Keystone Effect may contact them using the contact details provided for purposes directly related to their application and participation in Project 1,000. This may include confirmation of the application, application status and outcome, selection notifications, account activation instructions, participation information, progress surveys and other communications reasonably necessary to administer Project 1,000.
12. Optional Marketing Communications
Applicants may separately choose to receive occasional news, educational resources, special offers and information about relevant programs and opportunities from The Keystone Effect and My5 Minute Maths Tutor. Consent to receive these communications is optional and is not a condition of applying for or being selected for Project 1,000. Applicants may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.
